Home biofeedback system.

The GSR-2 Home Biofeedback System. GSR for Galvanic Skin Resistance, see? Anyhoo, this baby promises to reduce your stress by teaching  you how to keep the feedback tone nicely low and steady. I guess that while you’re concentrating on this task, you’ll tend not to be worrying about other things anyway. $59.95.

The GSR 2, home biofeedback device precisely monitors your stress levels by translating tiny tension-related changes in skin pores into a rising or falling tone. By resting two fingers on the sensing plates you learn to lower the pitch and your stress level. Cordless finger-rest sensor – with built-in-tonal feedback – automatically measures Galvanic Skin Response (GSR).

  • That cassette (they’re still around!) is an instructional tape that comes with the GSR thingie.

I was thinking it was for recording the tonal feedback for some seriously alternative music…

  • Biofeedback! That’s so 1970s. As is the cassette tape that comes with it. Maybe the people who are selling it were recently thawed from cryogenics.
