Be warned though, it’s a bit addictive, so make sure you’ve got some free time.

The site basically serves up some amazing, historic and downright delicious video clips of key points in our recent evolution, all culled from news archives of the day. The 1 min clips start in 1900 with Orville Wright’s first flight and progress through the years ending up in 2014.

If you get bored you can click on a period you’re interested in directly, but going through the whole 114 years is a real hoot. For instance, the 1927 parallel parking invention definitely needs to be reborn, right now! Very cool.
