We love us some acoustic guitar we do, and even more so when it’s played by someone who really knows what they’re doing. But one of the problems with trying to play an acoustic guitar is making it work with either an amp and speaker or any form of accompaniment. Now an enterprising small company has produced a rather cool solution.
The iCoustic Wireless Bluetooth Guitar combines a top quality guitar with a bunch of clever electronics to embed a wireless sound system you can play along with from your phone, tablet or other Bluetooth device. Just pair your phone or Bluetooth music player with the guitar and you’ll have an instant band to play along with.
The guitar can also be plugged into an external amplifier and speaker combo, to give you some perfect busking power on tap. What’s surprising is the fact that the sound doesn’t seem to be affected at all by having a speaker integrated into the sound hole. The overall effect sounds nice, and it’s great that you can playback any tune you like from your iTunes collection or other source on a phone or tablet.
