Do you weed? If you have any sort of green space, chances are you weed and get rid of the less than lovely plants so that the ones you want can grow. Next time you’ve got a good crop, maybe think about turning them into paper so that they can be at least a little bit useful. The Invasive Paper Project was an interesting look at dealing with invasive plants in our life.
The project took local, invasive plants, pulped them, and turned them into usable paper. Of course it’s not the processed white paper that you see in office supply stores, this stuff is more textured and comes in many colors like a lot of handmade papers.
These papers can be used for a variety of things, once processed and dried. Even though this was an art project, anyone can duplicate this process with a little bit of research into what plants are safe and make yourself some one of a kind paper. Or just toss your weeds into the compost pile.
