iPhone alarm glitch forced many to sleep in unintentionally

Did you find yourself rolling out of bed a little later than expected over the weekend? If you own an iPhone and use it as an alarm, then there’s a good chance that you did. Thanks to a glitch with the iOS, non-recurring alarms weren’t working for the first two days of the new year. Perhaps it was Apple’s way of telling everyone to take it easy for a couple days.

Of course, for those needing to get to work, or even wanting to wake for some sort of leisurely activity, they were caught unawares. The good news is that your trusty phone is back to working properly. The bug only affected the first two days of 2011. At least that’s not as bad as the last alarm glitch which lasted a bit longer after the Daylight Savings Time change.
