Chris Turner of Shift.com has produced a great article on how our priorities should change in terms of the type of technology we get excited about.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think that gadgets and ‘high’ technology are mutually exclusive, in an ideal future hopefully we will be able to develop and use things which are not only cool and funky, but also have a minimal (if not a positive) impact on our environment and society.
