KeyKeeper – now you can stop your keys scratching your fragile phone screen in your pocket

There are some ideas which seem to work straight off the bat without a lot of thought, and this new KeyKeeper product is one of them. We all carry around keys, right, and we also have other things in our pockets like phones which come with fragile glass screens. How to protect one from the other?

Sure you can keep your phone in one pocket on its own, and your keys in the other pocket, but that takes quite a bit of organization, and it only takes one forgetful moment and whoops…scratch city.

This new product offers a simple protective sleeve for your keys, which remove the problem of scratching and replace it with soft silicone. What’s even better is you don’t have to remove the sheath to open your doors, because the design is deliberately clever enough to make it easy to insert the key with the cover still attached.

What’s more, you can use the different colors to identify which key is which, and because one side of the cover is transparent you always know which way round your key is. Awesome. A pack of three different colored sheaths costs $24.00.

  • Maybe I’ve missed something but what is to stop the key ring’s hard edge from scratching a screen?

    • My first thought exactly but you beat me to it!
Where can I get a soft fluffy cover for my keyring?

    • Ahh…you folks are far too intelligent. :) Of course you could always buy a nice soft rubbery keyring thingy. Problem solved?

    • Do you have a link for one?

    • I made one with Sugru – :)
