Kisai Spider Acetate White LCD Watch – It’s like a spider web on your wrist; only cool instead of creepy

Kisai Spider Acetate White LCD Watch

If you’re a fan of eye-catching timepieces, you’ll want to wrap this nature-inspired watch around your wrist because it’s yet another Tokyoflash creation that pleases and challenges the eye at the same time.

At first glance, the Kisai Spider Acetate White LCD Watch might look like a toy but it’s nothing but business when it comes to telling time. The pure white acetate case uses a transparent LCD screen to display the time, creating the illusion that the numbers are hovering in the air above your wrist, and the artistic way the time is displayed is how the Spider gets its name. Inspired by the concentric rings of a spider’s web, four numbers are arranged from large to small, displaying the digital time in way that seems like an unreadable mystery until the secret is figured out.

In order to tell the time, just look at the largest number in the design first, and then work your way towards the smallest number.

In addition to telling time, a custom programmed animation which imitates a spider’s web being spun appears every 15 minutes, although this feature can be turned off.

The Kisai Spider Acetate White LCD Watch, which can have the LED numbers in either black, blue, green, or red, is available for $159.
