Laptop Alarm – protect your laptop in public places

Laptopalarm

Laptop Alarm. Software emits a piercing alarm if the power cable is unplugged, the laptop is shut-down or the mouse removed. Clearly designed for those times when you’re sitting in a public place (e.g. a library or local coffee shop) and need to use the restroom. Personally I’d take the laptop with me, as I somehow get the feeling that a loud alarm is not going to stop your machine disappearing out the door if it’s a Macbook Air. Know what I mean? Currently free of charge, full version coming.

Did you ever hesitate to leave your laptop for a few minutes in a public space like a library? No need for that with Laptop Alarm. Laptop Alarm will emit a loud alarm whenever someone tries to steal your laptop.

  • If you take it with you to the washroom, they’ll just mug you with your pants down, and you facing the wall. Well, if they wanted it that badly, that is.

  • So if you’re in the bathroom… and it beeps… how are you supposed to jump out and tackle the thief? Hmmm.

  • I use a colostomy bag when I am out, that way I never have to leave my laptop behind
