Laptop Alarm. Software emits a piercing alarm if the power cable is unplugged, the laptop is shut-down or the mouse removed. Clearly designed for those times when you’re sitting in a public place (e.g. a library or local coffee shop) and need to use the restroom. Personally I’d take the laptop with me, as I somehow get the feeling that a loud alarm is not going to stop your machine disappearing out the door if it’s a Macbook Air. Know what I mean? Currently free of charge, full version coming.
Did you ever hesitate to leave your laptop for a few minutes in a public space like a library? No need for that with Laptop Alarm. Laptop Alarm will emit a loud alarm whenever someone tries to steal your laptop.
If you take it with you to the washroom, they’ll just mug you with your pants down, and you facing the wall. Well, if they wanted it that badly, that is.
So if you’re in the bathroom… and it beeps… how are you supposed to jump out and tackle the thief? Hmmm.
I use a colostomy bag when I am out, that way I never have to leave my laptop behind
