When I was a kid, I would almost always stay with my grandparents over winter break. One of my favorite things to do each morning was to go into the kitchen, and open the window on her Advent calendar. Behind each window was a small wooden toy, which wasn’t really meant to be played with (I usually did anyway), but was more of a symbol to help celebrate the days leading up to Christmas. Having been out of school for quite some time, I don’t get holiday breaks any longer, so I don’t go get to open the windows on my grandma’s calendar. However, I might just have to get one of my own.
I’ve never really found myself desiring an Advent calender, at least not until I saw this LEGO Star Wars one. Containing 24 different minifigures, starfighters, droids and accessories. The most special being this special Santa Yoda that you won’t be able to find anywhere else. For $40, you can bet I’d be using this every Christmas for many years to come.
