Lens Cap Strap Holder keeps your cap from getting lost

I don’t want to think about the number of lens caps I’ve lost for my camera. It’s a silly thing, but I’ll take off the cap to snap a quick picture, and maybe set it down beside me. Then one picture turns into a 15-minute mini photo shoot that involves me wandering off somewhere else as I take them. By the time I go to put the cap back on, I’ve no idea where I set it. Well here’s something simple that will hopefully help people like me keep track of their caps.

The Lens Cap Strap Holder slides onto your existing camera strap, and gives you a place to securely fasten your lens cap. The great thing is that the holder mimics the end of your lens, so you know that it is snapped into place just as securely as when the cap is on your camera. And at $18, it’s not exactly a big investment.

  • I cemented a piece of Velcro to the outside of my lens cap, and the matching piece of Velcro, to my camera strap.
Haven't lost or misplaced a lens cap in years, and the cost was maybe 50 cents?

  • End of which lens? My 72mm? 50mm? 78mm? Well, now I'm up to 54$. Just put them in your pocket and save! This is a solution looking for a problem..

  • I use something traditional, called a "pocket".
