If you have any sort of medical problem, chances are that you want to keep track of it so things don’t get out of hand. Visiting the doctor on a regular basis would be the easiest way to do that, but it’s also quite expensive (even with insurance). There are all sort of mobile apps that can help you track your information, but what if there were a smartphone dedicated to helping you stay on task?
The LifeWatch V will allow you to test yourself for a variety of medical issues, and track your information, or share it with your healthcare provider and family. You can test your heart rate, plan diets and exercise, receive medication intake reminders, and perhaps most impressive is the ability to test your blood glucose level. This Android-based phone can also take your temperature, act as a pedometer, check your oxygen saturation, and let you know when you’re a bit too stressed. All the information that you take will be kept on a secure server, and can be accessed anytime. They haven’t announced any word on pricing yet, but it seems as though it will be available soon seeing as they had a presentation on it recently in Zurich.
