Likebook – turn your Facebook life into a book and impress people muchly

Everyone and his dog seems to be on Facebook nowadays. It’s great for staying up to date with remote relatives, friends and prospective crushes, and despite all the privacy hoo-ha, people love that connection it seems. But one thing about the online digital world is the fact that data can disappear in the blink of an eye. Which could be upsetting right?

That’s why these good folk have come up with Likebook, which is a service to convert your Facebook content into a printed soft or hardcover book. The service is very simple to use. All you need to do is give it access to your Facebook account, and it goes off and grabs all the material you specify for the period you specify.

You can exclude and include just about anything, as well as add friends to your printout, and the interface is very easy to use, even for those who may be technophobes. You get a choice of book cover colors and layouts, and one of the coolest features is the range of outputs on offer. You can have a standard book, a photo album (great for something like weddings or anniversaries), a Page book, or a Love Story featuring two timelines (you know what that’s for, right?).

You can even group a set of friends together and have a kind of fraternity book made out of all your rascally escapades, ha ha ha! Prices start at $12 for 25 pages or so, printing and shipping included, and you can preview the result online before you commit to buying. We couldn’t find any way to change the content though, so you might want to make sure there’s nothing embarrassing in there before you hit the purchase button.

It’s kind of cool and could be a rather great gift for someone in your life, especially if you know they’re an avid Facebooker (is that a word?).
