I love the idea. But, you are right at that price it is pretty expensive. Opera browser has built-in text-to-speech. It may not be quite as clear as the voice you hear at magnetic time, but it is still not bad. To get it to MP3 however is the trick. You have to “record it” first using some sort of audio capture software. I use MusicMatch Jukebox to do it.
yeah I guess you’re paying for the seamless conversion to MP3, still a bit expensive though agreed.
