Loudtalks – web based instant voice chat

Loudtalks

Loudtalks. A free VoIP walkie-talkie service. Hmm…this is an intriguing idea. Is there a market for an instant voice chat IM service? Is standard text based IM too slow for some uses? The idea is that you hit a hotkey (e.g. F7) and voice chat away to your buddy or buddies. No dial up, no wait. Just like a walkie-talkie except you’re using your computer.

There’s a mobile phone version coming soon apparently, which could be very cool indeed. For some reason I reckon they could have speeded up their adoption rates hugely by making this a Skype/MSN/AIM plug-in first, then adding the cell phone stuff after. But what do I know? One to watch!

Loudtalks brings voice back to the internet communications. It’s a little application, which allows you to talk to your friends or collegues instantly with a single touch of a button. Think walkie talkie. It’s faster than text chat and more convinient than calls. Loudtalks is available for Windows right now, but we are working hard to bring it to other platforms soon, including your mobile phone.

  • hey dears that is a great idea, to just click like a walkitalki and talk to customer service representative of a company in their own website, or web based voice chat with some one is great, installing software is a hell i love web based voicem, video and test chat.
