Marmot iGlove – iPod control at your fingertips

Marmotiglove

Marmot iGlove. Billed as an iPod Clickwheel compatible liner glove. You know, so you can click and dial your sounds to your heart’s content. Just don’t ask us what ‘clickwheel compatible’ means, OK? Priced at $28.95. Watch out for the Blackberry Thumbwheel version soon. Arf.

The iGlove liner from Marmot is specially designed for those electorics that we no longer can leave the house without. Now you can dial in the playlist you want, navigate your digi-camera menu or make that call to Mom without taking off your liners.Features: Midweight Infinity base layer fabric is wind and water resistant without added bulk, plus it wicks moisture.

  • You have to hand it to these guys

  • Aaaargh…kindly leave the room….

  • You don’t need special gloves for this. I have a pair of polypropylene biking gloves that allow me to manipulate the click wheel. Take your iPod to the store and try out the gloves to see what works. If you need really warm gloves, the iGloves may be more appropriate.

  • It is obvious what this is about right?

It seems that the gloves have a thinner material at the pads of the thumbs and tip of the pointer finger.

So the concept is that the thinner area allows for easier manipulation of the clickwheel.

  • Actually, it's not thinner. It's got some kind of gold or brass metallic threads running through the index finger and thumb. I just bought a pair from Amazon.com (using their "Amazon Prime"). I imagine one could come up with these metallic threads on a sticker of some sort and apply it to a pair of "normal" gloves. While these are OK, I prefer leather gloves.
