The Matmos Fireflow R1 sounds more like a racing car than a piece of household furniture, but nonetheless it’s notable for being the first of its kind to run solely off a tea light. Yep, no more planet destroying electrical power to heat that oil. This puppy uses those small candles to do the job, which will no doubt soothe the souls of all 60’s bread heads now craving for a more ecologically groovy yeah icon.
Inspired by the 40th anniversary of the moon landing, it says here, and available in a number of hippy chic colours. Including purple. £29.00.
Fireflow R1 is a small retro metal rocket lava lamp, inspired by the 40th anniversary of the moon landings this year. Place a single tea light inside the rocket and in around 20 minutes Mathmos’ iconic lava formula comes alive. Made of cast zinc alloy in a choice of chrome or black nickel finish. Fireflow R1 can be used for 3 hours at any one time; the average burn time for one tea light.
