Micro-Phone is your phone away from phone

Micro-Phone
Do you ever come across a situation where you don’t want to take your smartphone with you? Concerts, theme parks, and other rough-and-tumble events are not exactly great places for a glass-faced phone. If you ever want a phone away from your phone, you’re going to want something that is small, cheap, and easy to use.

The Micro-Phone is a phone that is only slightly larger than a credit card, which makes it a perfect backup phone in emergencies. Seeing that it is rather short and slim, there is a corresponding app that will help you find this phone should you lose it. This would be a great way to find your kids as well as have a way to talk to them without having to deal with a texting plan. One of these will cost you $49, which also gives you a silicone cover and a Mini USB cable for charging. It’s a neat idea, but how often will you remember to charge this so that it would be useful?

  • My HP Veer is a full smart phone with slide out keyboard – same size, but a bit thicker – 54 x 85 x 15.

The battery has a tremendously long life, the screen is great, and it is the perfect size to fit in any pocket including shorts or a suit and not even be noticed.

The only problem? HP cancelled their complete phone and tablet line after 42 days on the market and these were discontinued… :-(
