MicroBrite Lighted Pocket Microscope – tiny scope lets you check out bugs on the move

MicroBrite alone

Science can take a lot of equipment to really get into the nitty gritty of things but sometimes, you want to science on the go! The MicroBrite Lighted Pocket Microscope is a battery-powered microscope that you can take with you anywhere.

This is a small device, and no, it won’t get down to the smallest particles. It has 20-40x magnification which is better than a magnifying glass which is usually the only travel option available. It is outfitted with an LED light so that you can see your specimens clearly without fiddling with any mirrors. You can use it either by holding it directly over the subject or with slides.

This is great for outdoor explorers and people who are just a bit curious from time to time. You can’t discover a new pathogen with this but you will be able to see plants and bugs up close and personal. It runs on the LR-44 batteries which are included. The MicroBrite Lighted Pocket Microscope is $8.28.
