Hold the press, yet another application for mobile phones. This time researchers at NEC and the NARA Institute in Japan have come up with a technology that can turn a standard mobile phone into a scanner. Now that’s what I call a cool mobile app. [via Mike]
‘NEC and the Nara Institute of Science and Technology have devloped technology which uses movie recordings to produce high quality images, o�n par with those of a scanner….For example, a high quality image can be produced of an A4 size sheet of paper from video cameras currently o�n the market.’
