NASA Sleep Promoting Light Bulb – designed to help you sleep better and more deeply

Sleep is a big deal, so what a shame that so many of us have difficulty getting enough. Too much stress, bad diets, no matter what the cause, we’re a world full of bad snoozers, which can’t be good for health or wealth. Now there’s a new product on the market which may help those suffering from problems at noddy-time.

The NASA Sleep Promoting Light Bulb has been designed to help astronauts get a good night’s rest in space – where no-one can hear you scream – so it’s got to be good right? The way it works is by filtering out the ‘blue light’ which can impact on our melatonin levels. Melatonin plays an important part in our body clock functions, so anything that can help sustain its role has got be valuable we’re thinking.

The blurb suggests that you use it for 30 minutes just before you fall off to sleep, to help maintain the body’s ‘natural circadian rhythm‘, and who are we to argue? It’s a 12W LED bulb which produces the same as a conventional 60W incandescent bulb. Priced at $59.95.
