NESTREST is a hanging living room for your backyard

Having a cozy little spot to relax now and then is important. It’s a place for you to clear your mind, and get away from it all. You could have a swing in your backyard, but should the neighbors see you, your peaceful concentration may be broken.

This is why the NESTREST is a perfect solution for those who want a space of their own. It is basically a giant bird’s nest made from extremely strong woven DEDON fiber. It shelters you from sun and onlookers, and will likely help to mute exterior noise as well. The best part about this thing is that it is a swing, but it only swings because it is suspended in midair. Fabrics and colors for the interior cushions have a huge variety if you care about that sort of thing. This floating sanctuary can be yours if you happen upon $15,000, but I have a feeling most of us would have to live in that thing to get enough worth out of our money for it.

  • Good grief that's expensive.

  • I imagine that I could build something a lot cheaper, but then I probably wouldn't trust it enough to hang it over a river.

BTW, how did that guy get into it when it's hanging over the water?

  • Haha, excellent point, Andy. :)
