The No Touch Alarm Card is a light sensitive credit card sized device which sounds an alarm when exposed to a small amount of light. You stick it in your wallet or purse and immediately a thief or pickpocket removes the wallet an alarm will sound. We understand that some spouses may be using it to reduce their partners’ spending addiction, but have been unable to confirm a corresponding increase in midnight shopping in those cases. A$14.95.
“No Touch Alarm Card” is a promotional credit card-type personal safety alert device. With its built-in one sensor, which reacts to light, “No Touch Alarm Card” protects valuables from loss and theft. With the help of one sensor, specially manufactured IC, and high sensitivity micro speaker, “No Touch Alarm Card” sounds an alarm when exposed to even a small amount of light. When place in a pocket or a bag with valuables such as wallet or passport, No Touch Alarm Card makes no sound at all. However, when exposed to light, the alarm is raised.
How exactly is this supposed to work? pickpockets don’t open a wallet/bag near you when they steal it?
Eric I think the point is that the light hits any part of the wallet, even when closed, if it’s out of your pocket and that’s what sets it off. Not so sure about handbags though, as you say.
