Not having to do laundry ever again is the future we all want. And bonus, less laundry is better for the environment. There are a couple of brands that offer clothes that can last without a tumble in the wash but are they really better and do they actually work? As it turns out, the answer is yes.

Clothes that don’t need to be washed are created in a number of ways. They can be treated with nanosilver, antimicrobial, or just made from different materials than our standard everyday wear. What it’s made from and how it’s treated will make a difference in how long you can go between washings. None of these clothes are “never” washed, you will eventually need to clean them but they can go for a long time.

And that’s great for the environment! Laundry causes a good amount of emissions (especially when you wash in warm or hot water) so less laundry is over all a good thing. Of course, the drawback is the limited styles and the higher price. This isn’t exactly accessible to everyone but if it’s something you can swing, might be worth looking into.
