Have you been outside when it’s hot and thought, man, it would be awesome if I could get some air conditioning while I’m out here? Well, they have done this in Qatar to help fight against the overbearing heat.

The country has installed outdoor air conditioners to lower the temperature at many outdoor public places such as stadiums and malls. This isn’t done to cool off normal summer days, the heat of the country has been crazy high and people suffering under the harsh conditions. So, air condition so they can go about their normal lives.

Of course, there’s a dark side. The country is reliant on fossil fuels for energy which means this air conditioning is racking up emissions which is of course adding to the issue of their already too hot days. Bummer.
