PaperTrophy – put a bit of class on your walls or floor

papertrophy

There’s something about paper that can be pretty magical, especially when it’s folded into cool shapes and styles. You call it origami, we call it art. Now there’s a German dude who’s offering to produce some rather cool sculptures which he’s calling PaperTrophy, and he’s looking for support.

The idea is for him to produce a range of cool animal sculptures in card, which are pre-cut and pre-creased, which anyone can then put together for display in their home. The choice of colors and animals is neat, and the whole idea should definitely inspire more DIY art.

We’re not talking flimsy things either, they’re tough and hardy, and you get to choose your colors when you order. We’re actually in love with the 1 meter tall black gorilla, which is one of the coolest things we’ve ever seen in cardboard. Prices range from $39 (or $5 if you print your own) up to $299 for the whole set of animals.
