While I doubt any of us have taken on the profession of espionage, there are times where being discreet can come in handy. Have an article in a magazine that you want to remember but don’t want to snap a picture with your phone? How about using a pen with a built-in scanner so it looks like you’re writing down a grocery list instead?
The Pen-Sized Scanner is a ballpoint pen that will give you 2048×1536 pixel images of whatever you need to take a photo of. There is a shutter button on the side, and it will automatically focus right before it snaps the picture. It comes with a built-in 1GB flash drive which will hold up to 1000 photos in JPEG format, or voice memos as WAV files. You only need to twist the anodized aluminum pen shell to switch from writing to scanning, and completely unscrewing it will allow you to access the flash drive. This little piece of technology will cost you around $125, and comes with a leather case and ink cartridge.
