PhoneRa is a simple freeware program with a simple goal, to help you find out what the SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) for your make and model of mobile phone. Why? Well the SAR indicates how much radiation the phone is beaming into your brain via your earhole, so it might come in handy one day when you’re chatting to a doctor about your hot ears. Anyhoo, it’s free, regularly updated (although there are definitely recent phones not on the list of the version I’ve been testing) and works in 5 languages. Download here.
PhoneRa is a simple tool that does a simple job: it gives you the level of the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) of your (next) cell phone/mobile phone. The latest scientific research seems to indicate that radiation from your cell phone/mobile phone could have a possible negative impact on your health. The amount of radiation varies per phone but it is generally assumed that the higher the amount of radiation that is emitted, the higher the amount that is absorbed in your brain while using your phone.
The phone-specific rads can be found here: http://reviews.cnet.com/cell-phone-radiation-leve… , no download/install required.
Thanks DanO. I was just thinking about why you'd need to install anything when it could have all been on a website, or a sreadsheet.
