One of the most dramatic artistic touches you can add to a photo is the desaturated background effect, which retains the color in a primary subject and reduces the rest of the image to a greyscale finish. Photo Black & Color lets you desaturate (i.e. turn into black and white) any portion of an image you want. The program works by letting you select the colored areas you want to keep by clicking on them with the mouse.
