Photon 3D scanner – digitize me, Captain!

Photon 3D Scanner
Are your skills in traditional arts far superior to those in the computer sciences department? Do you ever wish that you could make something, and then scan it onto your computer so your can get a 3D printer to make dozens more of them? The solution would be to get a 3D scanner, but those aren’t exactly the cheapest.

The Photon 3D Scanner will let you take any physical form and turn it into a digital model to use as you please. It’s extremely easy to use, as all you need to do is unplug it, put on your item, scan it, and presto! You’ll be creating things before you know it. Scanning is said to only take about three minutes, and you can watch as it scans in real time. This currently costs somewhere around $450, and won’t be coming out until November.
