Poetweet – use your twitter to cheat on your English homework [FREEWARE]

Poetweet

Data mining can create such beautiful art. Which is good since nothing is ever really gone from the internet, there is a lot of data to remake as art. One of these things is poetry and even if you don’t know a sonnet from a limerick, you too can make your own. The site Poetweet turns your tweets into poetry.

You might think that your tweets ARE poetry. I’m sure they’re all very nice but unless every tweet you send is written in haiku format, chances are they’re not following any sort of traditional line and meter. Poetweet gives order to your chaos.

The site analyzes all of your tweets, 140 characters at a time, and turns them into structured poetry. You can choose which type of poem you want to build. In case you don’t quite remember the different styles, it also explains them. You can choose from Sonnet, Rondel, or Indriso. When you’re finished, it spits out a personal poem on a pastel background, built on your thoughts. Poetweet is a free website.
