Polder Hourglass Kitchen Timer – go digital and save a beach

Polderhourglasskitchentimer

This Polder Hourglass Kitchen Timer takes the comfortable, familiar hourglass metaphor, rips the heart out of its sand filled carcass and replaces it all with a boring but functional digital timer and clock for all your kitchen cooking needs. We think it would be infinitely better if it used an accelerometer to fake the sand trickle when you turned it upside down, but hey, this is not a bad effort. $14.99.

This Polder Digital Hourglass Kitchen Timer has a wonderful shape and design so that any cook can put it on the kitchen counter when not in use. The timer can be flipped over to change between clock and timer functions. It has a 100 minute timer and stopwatch.

  • Yeah, umm great, cos it's not like silicon is mined from sand or anything.

    • It's a matter of scale, dear boy…scale… :)

    • It weigh things too?!? This thing is cool.

    • Oh arf! :)

    • No – it doesn't weight stuff. It's just a timer and clock. While the idea is good the form could be a much smaller footprint.
