PowerLift Back-Up Battery Pack for your iPhone

Itís always nice to have a charger with you during the day. Your phone could die at any given moment, and if you donít have a charger on hand, a plethora of bad things could happen. Kensingtonís new PowerLift Back-Up Battery Pack provides you the peace of mind you need for your stressful day.

This charger also comes with several bonus features, such as a hands free kickstand for face time, battery check lights, and a USB plug to sync your phone. It has a 1200 mAh battery, which can give you hours of extra time for your music, movies, and regular phone use. It should work with any case you have, as the dock connector can rotate over 180 degrees. When itís not in use, this little charger can be folded up to be smaller than the size of your wallet.† Itíll costs $49.99, and is definitely a purchase worth making to save your batteries life.

  • It's a reasonably nice looking accessory, especially compared to many alternatives that are available, but I think you have failed to pick up on a few problems in your article.

Firstly, I fail to comprehend how they think that the price can be justified. I will never spend $50 on this. Period.

Aside from just being a piece of shaped plastic, a 1200 mAh battery isn't actually at all impressive. It will add around 2 hours of juice on average.

Where's the horizontal stand option? Not being funny, but you don't need a market research team to figure out that the most common time to require back-up battery is when using the most energy sucking feature on the device. Video. Horizontal!

Or is this just a battery pack for face time and I am meant to buy another product for video back up…..?

Is there a clip on the back to attach to the back of a seat? Not everyone travels by train and manages to secure the spacey table seats, you know?

I wish an accessories company would wake up and realise that the iPhone is actually hugely mainstream now and not just owned by business people and rich people who will buy something without thinking about it first.

Is it REALLY that difficult? Stubborn companies with their stupid pricing and poor product design. Wake up people!

  • Apologies for the double post, but I forgot my quote….

"When it’s not in use, this little charger can be folded up to be smaller than the size of your wallet."

I assume that's taken directly from the Press Release you received as no tech savvy individual would make such a ridiculous statement!

If it's anywhere near the size of an average wallet then it cannot possibly be described as 'small' as it means it already bigger (in thickness and width) than the iPhone itself!

  • Does this only work with the iphone? If so, 50 does seem steep. I work for a company that makes something called the ChargeIt, which will charge any USB device with the use of four AA batteries (which are also rechargeable via the ChargeIt) and it has 2700 mAh. We're selling it for only $29.95. Check it out at http://www.digitaltreasures.com/powerline_details
