Real S4 – this clone Galaxy S4 shows clearly how far the market has shifted over the past 18 months

Oh how times change. It seems like only a few short months ago that the Chinese obsession was with cloning the Apple iPhone as quickly as they could melt plastic and metal, with truckloads of these knock-offs hitting the street every week. Well that was then and this is now. People get older, times change and guess who’s top of the target list now?

Yep, the trend has now turned to cloning products from the global power house Samsung. This Real S4, for example, is apparently a full 1:1 sized copy of the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone, which features a 5 inch screen, 3G, a 1.2GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of ROM and an 8 megapixel rear camera.

The really hilarious thing is the fact that the phone is designed to ‘display’ the original Galaxy S4 specs, so your friends don’t suspect that you’re too poor and miserable to afford the real McCoy. So the display shows 2GB of RAM, a quad core processor, 16GB of storage and a 1920×1080 screen (instead of the 540×960 the thing actually has). Totally wild.

Of course you don’t buy one of these because of the fake specs, you get one because it’s cheap – and importantly can use all the standard Galaxy S4 accessories like cases and docks etc – but even here it’s not really that impressive. The thing costs $160 ex shipping, which is definitely a huge discount on the real Galaxy, but for that price you can get yourself a stonkingly good THL W200 quad core smartphone and revel in the delights of the true power and glory.

Anyway if you’re one of those who needs the glamor of owning the hottest phone on the planet without the price tag, this is probably as good a place to start as any. Good luck.
