Wow, researchers are developing mobile phones which can ‘sense’ their environment using microphones, motion and light sensors etc. The phones will then know enough not to interrupt you when you’re talking to someone else, and eventually maybe even refuse to ring – hurrah! – if you’re in a cinema.
