Rizone Pixel Repair – freeware detects and fixes stuck pixels on your LCD screen

This Rizone Pixel Repair freeware detects and fixes stuck pixels on flat LCD screens. It won’t bring completely dead (i.e. black) pixels back to life, but it should work if they’re just stuck on a particular colour.

It’s very easy to use. Just fire it up, and click on a colour to have it cover the whole screen. You can then search for and locate dead pixels, and marke them to be fixed. Then press the Go button and the program will flash the screen at a user customisable speed to ‘unstick’ the pixel.

The developers warn that it doesn’t always work, but it’s definitely a great way to try and sort out any annoying spots, and it sure beats throwing the monitor away or getting your laptop fixed by an expensive professional. One for the toolbox. Oh and you can also use the program to help clean off stubborn dust/grime spots that are hard to see normally. Nice.

You can use the ‘Dead pixel locator’ section on ‘Rizone Pixel Repair’ to look for dead or stuck pixels. You can also use this section to help you find dirty little spots and dust when you clean your screen (Because dust doesn’t show on all colours). Now, after you’ve located stuck pixels, try to repair them with this tool. Set the colour mode, press go and place the flashy window thingy under the stuck pixel. Sometimes this unsticks that pixel, but as stated before, not always.

  • I downloaded this program and received along with it a tool bar that included Facebook and Twitter, as well as a search window. This is the first time that one of your offerings that I downloaded was accompanied by an unwelcome accessory. I will be hesitant to indulge in the future.

    • Hmm…that's strange because I downloaded it this morning and got none of that rubbish. Let me try it again.

<later> Nope, you're talking nonsense I'm afraid. The whole application comes in one single exe file. That's it, no install nothing else at all, so I have no idea what you downloaded, but it wasn't this bit of software. Good luck finding the culprit.

  • This is an amazing tool and saved my 24 inch dell screen from the junk yard. I had a year of a magenta vertical line that I tolerated and finally dealt with. I downloaded this program and ran it all night. The next morning my problem was resolved. As the days went by it came back after I turned off the screen. the tool now worked in 20 minutes. I am hopeful, this will stick

as far as the bloat ware, i did get 3 addware programs and a Java script virus as part. I was ready for it as I saw it posted elsewhere and removed them all right after download.

Long and short… great tool great help, unfortunate virus and crapwear attached.
