Rymble – the emotional Internet object

Rymble

The Rymble is a small device which seems to come from the same universe which spawned the Nabaztag Internet connected rabbit thingy. In this universe we all have a desperate need to move away from the computer screen and receive our Internet input from cutesy little gadgets which move, blink and make noises when anything ‘significant’ happens. Me, I’m not totally convinced.

All this blinking and chiming may seem like a good idea, but to be honest it kind of gets in the way of me…y’know…finding out what’s actually going on. And for that, a quick glance at the screen is still probably optimum. Anyhoo, your mileage may vary, in which case stand in line for when this little thing arrives later this year. Priced at €99.00.

Rymble is a living Internet object because it can mirror what happens in your social network (likes, messages, requests) through movements and sounds in the real world. Rymble is an emotional object because you can link it to your favourite topic, artist, sports team, music band, celebrity or any other subject. Rymble is customizable because it can adapt its appearance to your preferences. Rymble is an Internet-connected decorative object that breaks traditional patterns. Rymble is a new way of experiencing the Internet.
