Sanyo has taken home air way beyond clean. Its new Air Washer Plus uses electrolyzed water and a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter to remove 99.97% of airborne particles, allergens and odors from the air. It uses electrolyzed water which produces two types of active oxygen that clean the air. Combine that with the air filtration industry-standard HEPA filters, and you’ve got one heck of an air filter.
With no need for chemicals, the Air Washer Plus uses a 3 directional air system, aiding air circulation, moving all a room’s air through the system. The unit is portable, so you can clean the air throughout your home. The HEPA filter will need changing periodically but an indicator light alerts you when it needed. Suggested retail price is $249.99.
The technology operates by creating electrolyzed water, or combining tap water with electricity, to create two types of active oxygen that work to clean without the requirement for any additional chemicals. Other than its use in air treatment, electrolyzed water has also been used effectively in other industries such as food safety handling, washing raw materials, and cleaning utensils.
