Climate change is real and it is a problem that will leave humanity in extreme danger if not acted on before it’s too late. A new study that has been endorsed by over a thousand scientists confirms what many people already recognize but some still attempt to ignore: Climate change is real and we need to act fast.
This new study says much of the same things that previous reports have. It compiles forty years of data on the subject and comes to the same conclusions as others. The world is getting warmer and it’s due to human activity.
But there’s a bright side of the study. It also lists areas where immediate action can have a huge, positive effect. Higher carbon fees to encorage their reduction, a stop to short lived pollutants will help. Also the end to land clearing and the restoration of natural spaces will capture CO2 at a greater pace. Humanity needs to move away from carbon fuels and change our diets. These things won’t happen overnight, but if we start working now, we can make a difference for tomorrow.
