Good news for all those parents out there hunkered down with their kids worried about spending too much time with their screens: A new study has shown that screen time isn’t making your kids less social and the idea that it was is basically just moral panic, not like, reality.
Many parents are using screens right now because it’s one of the few ways children have to interact with others during the pandemic as well as needing to occupy young ones while they work or perform other household chores.
This is good news for anyone who is struggling with this. Don’t worry, you’re not dooming your children to a friendless, boring life because they’re entering their fifth hour of Paw Patrol videos or whatever. It’s fine. Relax.
