Silo – the sustainable, zero waste restaurant

Eating out is always a nice treat but how can you be sure that the place you’re eating is engaging in sustainable practices? If you’re going to Silo, you never have to ask that because the entire restaurant is a practice in zero waste sustainability.

Silo has no waste. They contract with local food suppliers, use reusable cartons for transport and anything that is not eaten gets made into compost. They churn their own butter and mill their own flour for their breads. They design their menu to pure and simple so as not to create more waste.

Even their furnishings follow this goal. Their chairs, tables, plates, etc are all upcycled or created from recycled goods. The entire experience is a lesson in sustainability and how far you can take such a thing. Check out the website to book a table or have them host your event.
