SilverLit Motion Control Helicopter – fly it with a flick of the wrist

The new craze for radio controlled helicopters is lots of fun, but unfortunately the truth is they can be a little hard to fly. Anyone who’s eagerly unpacked their new flying machine only to spend time sweeping up the pieces 20 minutes later will know what we mean. If only they were easier to fly and those darn walls didn’t keep getting in the way.

Well now there’s a new option. The SilverLit Motion Control Helicopter is controlled by moving your hand in the air, which the controller translates into commands the helicopter understands. Twist your wrist to the left and the craft will turn left, swivel the hand down and the machine moves forward…and so on. Very clever indeed. Not only that, but there are also more intuitive buttons on the controller which let you do an auto-start and hover, easy throttle up and down and more.

It’s never going to rid us of sheer bad driving, but who knows, it could protect your home from more flying machine wreckage and help you safeguard the vase you got from your Aunt last birthday. Priced at $39.90.
