Silverlit Pocket Flyer – the world’s smallest R/C helicopter fits inside its own controller

You wanna talk about small? We know about small. There’s the small that’s petite enough to fit into a hummingbird’s rucksack. Then there’s the small that’s a tiny bit bigger than Justin Bieber’s shoe size. And then there’s crazy small, like the kind of engineering that fits the text of Wikipedia onto a grain of Moroccan cous-cous.

This Silverlit Pocket Flyer may not be that small, but it’s definitely one snazzy bit of engineering. The tiny folding radio controlled helicopter features a rechargeable Li-Ion battery and an auto stabilization gyro and is actually small enough to fit inside it’s own R/C controller. Shove the whole shebang into your pocket and you’re ready to rock.

You’re not going to win any outdoor endurance races with it, that’s for sure, in fact you’re definitely advised to stay indoors well away from hungry hawks with this puppy, but you should be able to get a heap of fun out of scooting around the living room annoying the dog.

The remote control runs off two AAA batteries and the helicopter is a mere 12 cm long when fully unfolded. A jam sandwich is longer than that, but admittedly it won’t fly as far. Probably. Anyhoo, the whole kit is priced at a pocket friendly $36.00 and you get a choice of black or white. Or ebony and ivory if you prefer.
