Sling Media Slingbox M1 – new upgraded tech lets you take your TV with you wherever you go

No matter how many subscriptions for HD channels you have or even if you own the latest Apple TV or Roku TV set-top boxes, there are still limitations on when and where you can use them. For example, you can’t take your HD channels to your vacation home or on an international trip.

Not unless you have the Sling Media Slingbox M1 – which lets you stream your cable TV, Apple TV, or anything at all from anywhere in the world. No more carrying different devices along with you on international tours when you have this gadget. All you have to do is connect the box to your cable, satellite or television tuner (or Blu-Ray player etc), sync to your home WiFi system and you’re ready to access the content on your TV remotely anywhere in the world. The one thing to remember though is if you are controlling your TV viewing from a remote location, people at home have to watch what you’re watching, or switch to viewing a DVD or Blu-Ray disk while you continue watching the sports channel.

The box is Wi-Fi or Ethernet enabled and you can stream your favorite TV shows, live TV, sports, movies and other content from your DVR to anywhere you can access the internet. You can use it with any device – including a phone or tablet computer on 3G or 4G using the free apps – and it’s fairly easy to set-up. You can even plug your video security camera into it, to keep a watch on your home while you’re vacationing. The Sling Media Slingbox M1 is available for $149.99 via Amazon.
