Smile, baby.

Vsmilebaby

The V.Smile Baby Infant Development System. It’s not a toy, oh no. It’s an infant development system. You know, kind of like a toy but with developmental programmes, interactive communication modes and sensory rich learning tools. Oh and it’s got infrared wireless comms too, just like mummy’s computer. Available for £39.99 from all good ‘developmental infant curriculum agencies’.

VTech’s leading experts have specifically developed V.Smile Baby to encourage babies as young as 9 months (up to 36 months) to learn about, and embrace, the world around them. Five interactive chunky colourful shaped buttons and a special effects rolling ball are used to activate three modes of play which grow with baby- from watching, learning and interacting with mum to learning fundamentals such as colours, numbers, shapes, animals, objects based on age-appropriate curriculum.

  • Bollocks. I bought my 2 girls lot`s of edutainment things which they get bored of really easily, and prefer playing with empty plastic coke-bottles. They have taught me one thing though… that they are a waste of money.

And before you surmise that my daughters have the brains of gifted gnats, they are actually quite advanced for their age (especially in language… nothing rude either).

These toys aren`t needed for intellectual development…. good parents who take the time to interact and teach their children are.

Oh, and empty coke-bottles too (very important).
