Technology changes so quickly that it makes big purchases like a laptop more difficult. You want something that’s fast, reliable, and isn’t going to be old news too quickly. While you might be more inclined to go with things that are gigantic and impressive, you don’t always need to shell out the big bucks.
Sony recently announced their new line of laptops called the Vaio Fit. There are a variety of models, all of which are very sleek, have a decent price tag, and touchscreen capabilities. They are cased in aluminum, run on Windows 8, and have HD displays. All feature a backlit keyboard, and can sync with smartphones using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. Nvidia GeForce graphics in 1GB and 2GB options are available, and the hard drive ranges from 500GB to 1TB. The processors range from a Core i3 to a Core i7, with options of 4-12 GB of RAM. You’ll be able to pick up one of four models (14, 15, 14E, 15E) for $549-699 depending on the model you choose.
