It’s a beautiful day outside, and you’ve decided to bring along your camera to capture the glory of nature. Just when you raise the camera to your eye, it dies. It’s always the time that you need them most that backup batteries are nowhere to be found. You can get try and hunt for a way to charge it, but why not just use a camera that doesn’t need batteries?
The Sun and Cloud Self-Generating Digital Camera can operate rain or shine (probably not a great idea in the rain, but who am I to judge). There is a solar panel on the top, and if it’s too bleak and gray outside, you can use the crank to generate your own electricity. If you don’t feel like waiting it out, there’s also a hookup for USB. It has 15 built-in filters, three different shooting modes, and an LED for shooting in the dark. Should you like to do film, you’ll be pleased to know there is a mic built in as well. This is a $200 camera, and it uses microSD and microSDHC to record your memories.
