You can never tell when things are going to get a bit sticky. Y’know, nasty natural disasters like flood, pestilence, plague and all that stuff. Not to mention the occasional hurricane barreling down your front path intent on mischief. For the Special Forces folk of this world this is probably a walk in the park, but for the rest of us, a bit of preparation can come in handy and maybe save lives.
This Survivor’s Backpack may not contain anything that you couldn’t get from a quick trip down to your local drugstore, but the important thing is it’s available and all in one place, when you need it most. Nothing worse than hunting through your medicine cabinet with a tornado knocking on the front door. The kit apparently contains enough material to keep you alive through 3 days of chaos, and the list certainly looks impressive.
We’re talking thermal blanket, respirator mask, medical first aid kits, compass, signal whistle, three days supply of emergency rations, water, and waterproof compartments for medicines, cash and suchlike. The lack of a receptacle for pizza slices and Mountain Dew is surely an omission which will be rectified in the next version? The price for all this safety is $99.95. You be safe out there now, y’hear?
I'd like this a bit better if it were solid black and had a pullout visibility flap with a reflective surface if you need to attract attention. It the area you're stuck in turns out to be infested with persons who would rather steal from you than help you, it's good to be able to hide. Bright yellow equipment doesn't help you there.
These were on sale on Amazon a while back for $50 and I bought three. Yes, I'd prefer another color but I could cover them with an olive drab poncho or something if need be. They are really nice, seem well made and give me some peace of mind. I made a few additions (portable radio, flashlights, candles, knives, water purification, etc.)and there is still plenty of room.
Is there an expiration date on the supplies? Hate to buy and have it expire in 2-3 years
