Syrcadian Blue helps you stay happy when its cloudy

Summer always seems to be such a distant dream in the middle of winter. We always enjoy sunny weather because our moods are regulated by light. Even your anxiety levels can start to become a little high if you’re trapped in cloudy weather for too long. If you’ve ever the effects of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), then chances are you need a little ray of sunlight to brighten up your day.

While we can’t exactly build a weather machine to move the clouds out of the way, we can make sunlight portable. It’s called the Syrcadian Blue, and it was designed to mimic the sky on a clear blue day. This light will help your body produce serotonin which will put you in a better mood. It mounts onto your computer screen and is powered via USB. There are some add-on adapters, so this can also be used in your car or home. The Syrcadian Blue is $60 by itself, but will be an additional $30 if you want the 12V automotive adapter kit.

  • Evidence is spurious at best for seasonal affective disorder (SAD). Indeed, there are as many "sufferers" in the summer months. This gadget is just one in a long line of pointless electricity-guzzling "happy lamps".
