Talking Atomic Watch – rise and shine

Talkingatomicwatch

The Reizen Talking Atomic Watch. Now here’s a timepiece you really don’t want to argue with. It keeps itself atomically correct (via all sorts of clever radio signal tech) and will announce the time and time ‘and more’  in a reasurringly male voice. Well we assume it’s reassuring. Whatever. Anyhoo, it also comes with an hourly chime which could get annoying, and it’s yours for a mere $49.95.

All talking watches with an analog dial are really two watches; the analog part with the hands and the talking part and they both have to be set to the correct time. This watch does it all for you. Controlled by the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) radio signal, this watch will set itself to the correct time. It also resets itself automatically for Daylight Savings Time and if you travel to a different time zone. Also, unlike most talking watches, this watch can announce the date in addition to the time. It also features bold numerals and hands for easier reading.
